One of those partnerships is ASSET—Acute ST Segment Elevation Task Force, a quick response program to immediately route suspected cardiac patients directly to the RVMC Emergency Department, where specialized staff are waiting to ensure that heart patients get the most appropriate care – fast. This program has produced one of the lowest heart mortality rates in the country.
