Asante Health is a growing community-focused primary care clinic dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality healthcare to individuals and families in Spokane.

We are seeking a motivated Medical Assistant who enjoys patient care, teamwork, and making a meaningful difference in the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • ✔ Room patients and obtain vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, oxygen saturation, weight, and height)
  • ✔ Document chief complaints and patient history in the electronic health record
  • ✔ Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures
  • ✔ Prepare and clean examination rooms before and after patient visits
  • ✔ Administer injections as directed by the provider
  • ✔ Perform point-of-care tests such as urine dipstick, glucose testing, and pregnancy testing
  • ✔ Assist with EKG testing, TB skin tests, and specimen collection
  • ✔ Perform venipuncture and prepare laboratory specimens
  • ✔ Assist with minor procedures including incision and drainage, cryotherapy, and wound care
  • ✔ Maintain infection control standards and ensure exam rooms are properly stocked
  • ✔ Work closely with providers to maintain clinical supply inventory (Henry Schein ordering)
  • ✔ Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • ✔ Medical Assistant Certification (CMA or RMA) preferred
  • ✔ Experience in a primary care or outpatient clinic preferred
  • ✔ Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
  • ✔ Strong communication and organizational skills
  • ✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • ✔ Commitment to compassionate and professional patient care
  • ✔ Cultural competence training preferred as we serve patients from diverse backgrounds
